I was feeling anxious all of the time and nothing I was doing was helping. It was affecting my work and daily life. I also had physical symptoms that were affecting me, like digestive issues, struggling to sleep, and hormone imbalances.
I was looking for the next natural cure to try to ease anxiety, but one thing I hadn’t spent anytime working on was my emotional health. When I heard about mind body reconnect I was immediately intrigued because I knew how powerful our brain and emotions are.
I was excited to start but also nervous as dealing with emotions can be painful.
I noticed my anxiety improved very quickly because I was feeling safe and in control.
And slowly as a result my other symptoms improved and lessened. Occasionally my symptoms still pop up but now I know why and I can make the needed adjustments.
I’ve gained so much control and power in situations that I didn’t realise I could have. I have simple helpful tools to protect me and make me feel safe. It’s giving me the confidence I wish I could have had years ago.
I feel much calmer now and in control. I still feel negative emotions in my life but the difference is I know how to listen to them and make positive changes. It’s so empowering to know what steps to take on a daily basis to solve issues before they become problems.
I think what was unexpected was how simple dealing with our emotions is and how to listen to what your body is telling you. It’s a powerful tool we often ignore and I’m so glad I know how to listen.
It’s natural to feel apprehensive about something new but it’s priceless to know what exactly is going on inside of us and how to deal with it. Even one class can give you insights and tools you’ve never had.
